About
SandKit is a small, hand-built directory of things you can do in a browser: games, image toys, music machines, writing aids and experiments that exist for no practical reason.
It began as a notebook of links that kept getting passed around, and became a site so the notes would stop getting lost.
What is here
79 sites made by individuals and small teams, sorted into 7 categories. Every entry has a short concept line and a longer note written by us. We do not copy the marketing copy from the site itself.
How a site gets in
- A person or a small team made it. Products from companies and big platforms are left out, however good they are.
- It opens in a browser without an account, an install or a credit card.
- It does something interesting within a minute, not after a tutorial.
- It still works on a second visit.
- It is not primarily adult content, gambling or a thin affiliate page.
We do not sell placement. Nobody pays to be listed, to move up, or to stay in. If that ever changes, this page will say so before the change.
How we describe a site
We open it, use it, and write down what it actually does, including the weak parts. Creator names and countries come from public pages or the project's own credits. Where a creator is anonymous, we say so instead of guessing. If the only name is the handle the maker used to post the project, we use that handle, and an unconfirmed country is shown as not stated.
Every description is written in English first, then localized into Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish with the help of an AI model, and checked before it goes up. A joke does not always survive the trip.
The HOT list
HOT collects personal AI projects that were already popular elsewhere, with the Hacker News score and date for each one and a link to the original thread. For now there are no users here, so the list starts from what the wider internet picked. When people start posting their own sites, HOT will rank those instead.
Corrections
If a link is dead, a creator is wrong, or a description misses the point, tell us. We fix entries rather than quietly deleting them.
